My current art strategy is the Tape It To Your Desk technique. This scientifically proven (sort of) method ensures that that awesome idea you thought of last week will get finished before you start chasing the next idea. Because it's taped to your desk and is totally in the way of everything else.

Being a mainly watercolour artist, my art has to be taped to something so the paper doesn't warp when I put paint on it. i tried taping it to art boards, but you know what the trouble with art boards is? You can pick them up off your desk and hide them somewhere so you don't have to finish what you were doing. Sneaky.

This is awesome, as I have lots of ideas I want to follow through on, but unless they have an actual physical consequence-driven deadline on them, I tend to leave projects unfinished. Which, if nothing else, is a waste of expensive sexy paper.

Here is what is currently taped to my desk. More information on her later.
